Central Vermont Share the Music, Inc.

Central Vermont Share the Music, Inc. (CVSM) produces one major fundraising event each year for the purpose of creating a fund for music scholarships. The music scholarships are awarded to Central Vermont individuals to further their music education at any level.

The 2009 Annual Used Instrument Sale (held August 28 and 29) was a grand success! It was our biggest selling event ever, and CVSM wishes to thank everyone who participated as a seller, buyer or volunteer.

Our next fundraising event will be the 14th Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale, and it will be held on Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 28, 2010. It will be at the same location as the last several years, which is the Bethany Church on Main Street in downtown Montpelier.

Here's a sample of what you missed if you didn't make the Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale in 2009!

The inventory for the Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale is community-fed by the local population, bringing their unneeded musical instruments and accessories to sell on consignment during the one-day sale.

The CVSM support staff is always on hand to assist customers in choosing the right instrument. Music teachers are also on hand to assist with selling and to provide information about lessons.

Sellers receive 80% of the selling price. The profits are used to fund music scholarships for qualified Central Vermonters. The majority of the inventory taken in always sells!

CVSM sends a special "thank you!" to all of our terrific volunteers! It takes a lot of people to produce this event and to make everything flow smoothly. CVSM greatly appreciates all those who worked on the Annual Used Musical Instrument Sale weekend.

This once-a-year sale draws customers from all over Vermont. It's a rare opportunity to find this many used instruments for sale in one location. And you never know what you may find!
